In 2009, Ruth L. Snyder saw an advertisement for a Canada-wide novice writing competition hosted by The Word Guild. With trepidation, she wrote about her journey through infertility into the world of adoption and special needs. A few weeks later, an unexpected email arrived: she had won first place.
From One Tweet to a Calling
Later that year, Ruth attended her first writing conference. With five children under twelve and a demanding role as a school board trustee, her biggest question was:
How do I fit writing into my very busy life?
One simple piece of advice rose to the top:
Choose one small action you can do every day.
For Ruth, that action was a tweet a day. Tweet after tweet, she learned the power of consistent writing and authentic connection. Readers responded. Writers engaged. Before long, people were asking her to explain how Twitter worked. That sparked her first self-published book—and opened the door for other writers asking for her expertise to bring their books to life.
From Challenge to Champion
In 2020, Ruth trained as a Beautiful Me life coach while walking through separation and divorce. Coaching, combined with assisted self-publishing, became an income for her family through a season of healing. Embedded in that was a deeper mission: to create a safe, supportive space for others to share their stories.
Ruth experienced how overwhelming it can be to write, publish, and market a book. That’s why RLS Creativity Publishing exists: to walk alongside authors through every stage of the journey.
At RLS Creativity Publishing, we do not believe in “one system fits all” solutions. You are not just another project—we treat your words with the same care we’d give our own.
We build partnerships that last. We support writers not only in their craft, but also through the realities of life—trauma, financial stress, self-doubt, and everything in between. And if we’re not the right fit for your story, we’ll tell you honestly.
But if we are the right fit, you’ll find a team who will stand beside you, cheer you on, and help you create a book that truly matters.
Ruth has shared her expertise on platforms like Thrive Global, Women in Publishing, Authority Magazine, The Write Coach, and Author Audience Academy. She guides people through practical steps that make writing a book an attainable goal.
